by isleofman.com 31st October 2011

POLICE are appealing for information after a box trailer was stolen in Douglas.

The two wheeled trailer was taken from the Harris Terrace area sometime between Saturday, October 22 and Monday, October 24.

The trailer is described as being around six feet long and four feet wide and has a wooden base with silver metal sides and grey wheel arches.

It is believed that the trailer had flat tyres when stolen and as such is likely to have been towed away by another vehicle.

Police say they would like to speak to a man who was seen in the area carrying a foot pump at around 10am on Friday, October 21.

He has been described as being around five feet 11 inches tall, of medium build with white hair and a beard and in his late 50s or early 60s.

They would also like to speak to another man, of similar height and build, who was seen in the area at the time.

This man drives a Isuzu four by four vehicle which tows a similar trailer to the one stolen.

Anyone who has information regarding the whereabouts of the trailer or who knows either of the two males mentioned is asked to contact PC Robin Arnold on 01624 631212 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
