New MHK tables retailers tax question

by isleofman.com 28th October 2011

Michael MHK Alf Cannan wants more taxes on large retailers in the Isle of Man.

At question time in the House of Keys next week, he will ask Treasury Minister Eddie Teare if he will look into a tax or levy on international retail and supermarket businesses.

Mr Cannan says it would help recoup revenue which is being lost to the United Kingdom, and wants Mr Teare to report back to the House by the end of next month.
