A WALK will take place on Monday (October 31) to highlight the work of the Manx Foundation for the Physically Disabled.
The event is being held during Disability Awareness Week and it is being supported by Isle of Man firm Just Care Products which provides daily living aids and mobility equipment for disabled and older people.
The company is based on the Spring Valley industrial estate.
The walk will take place through the Douglas shopping area and wheelchair users and people with visual impairments will take part.
Managing director of Just Care Products Ben Hellowell said: "We are delighted to provide 10 wheelchairs for this event which aims to highlight and celebrate the work of charities like the MFPD.
"We are pleased to assist them and will be present on the day to show support of the vital work they do for disabled people."
Access officer from the Manx Foundation for the Physically Disabled Michelle Brady said: "Disability Awareness Week 2011 will be held from October 31 to November 5.
"We are very grateful to Ben as this gesture will help our representatives to promote our work and further improve life for disabled people in the Isle of Man."
The charity and Just Care Products will be joined on the walk by MHKs, local businesses, third sector organisations and the public sector.
The event, which will start at 11am outside Regent Street Post Office, will also be supported by Isle of Man College students.
