Fire crews use hydaulic cutting equipment to release trapped motorist

FIRE crews from Douglas had to use hydraulic cutting equipment to release a driver after a road traffic collision yesterday.

 

The two car collision happened at around 5.50pm at the bottom of Kewaigue Hill.

 

The vehicle was stabilised by fire crews who then removed the roof in order to extract the casualty.

 

Paramedics treated the casualty at the scene before taking them to Noble's Hospital.

 

Another person in the same vehicle escaped injured prior to the arrival of the fire service.

 

The occupants of the second vehicle escaped without injury.
