Vikings lose in English Trophy

by isleofman.com 25th October 2011

Vikings were comprehensively knocked out of the England Hockey Trophy on Sunday.

They lost 10-2 to a very strong Didsbury Northern team in the second round tie.

Vikings found themselves a goal down after just two minutes but bounced straight back to equalise through Conor Byrne from a short corner.

The Manx side then took the lead when a deflected shot from Steven Lowe found the back of the net.

Vikings conceded two more before the break before Didsbury produced a devastating second half performance to eventually run out easy winners.
