Royal London 360° continues support of Island’s footballers

by isleofman.com 25th October 2011

ROYAL London 360° will support the Isle of Man's Junior Football League for a third season.

The offshore life company has supported the under 11s football team since October 2009.

Since then around 350 boys and girls, under the age of 11, have played football on a regular basis.

Natalie Hall, the head of marketing at Royal London 360°, said: "It has been fantastic to see so many players improve their skills over the last two seasons and see the success many of them have enjoyed which is why we are only too happy to continue our sponsorship of the Royal London 360° Junior Football League for a third year.

"The Junior League committee does a fantastic job organising the weekly matches and supporting these boys and girls in their development and I am delighted that we are able to help this to continue."

31 teams play in the four divisions of the Junior Football League and the company's contribution of £1,500 will allow the children to play through the winter on an Astroturf pitch as well as help with the running costs of each match.

Keir Morris, treasurer of the Isle of Man Junior Football League, said: "The support of Royal London 360° is very much appreciated and without them the league would not be able to run.

"The popularity of under 11 football on the Island remains at an all time high which is very encouraging.

"Royal London 360°’s sponsorship allows us to help children to play throughout the winter on the Astroturf and have fun and build their social skills at the same time.

"It is fantastic to see so many of them developing as individuals and I am looking forward to another successful season."
