A TEAM of bankers have got their hands dirty to help a Ramsey scout group improve their outdoor facilities.
11 employees from RBS International spent two days at the 1st Ramsey Cub Scouts as part of the bank's Get Your Hands Dirty project.
The project aims to transform neglected spaces into great places for primary schools, charities and community groups.
RBS employees cleared the overgrown and inaccessible field behind the club house which is located in Shipyard Road in Ramsey.
This area will now be paved, turfed and fitted with external lighting to make it ideal for outdoor training activities.
Duncan Smith, property services manager at RBS International, nominated the scout hut and led the team of employees in the transformation effort.
He said: "This was a great opportunity to open up an overgrown area to make it useable for training youngsters for external activities.
"The cubs and scouts were asked what they wanted from the planned improvements and where possible these have been included in the design.
"My son is a member of the scouts and I was keen to get involved in this community project for the benefit of him and his friends.
"Most young people join scouting because of the opportunities it offers for participating in outdoor activities.
"By actively helping the beavers, cubs and scouts to explore their environment we will help them to enjoy the outdoor life, learn new skills and put existing skills into action."
Justin Cowin, Cub Leader for 1st Ramsey Scouts, added: "It was great working with the team from RBS International. I was amazed how much the team achieved and what a huge area they uncovered."
