by isleofman.com 22nd October 2011

A 71-year-old man died at an Island golf course yesterday, following what police are calling a one-vehicle collision.

The emergency services were called to the Glen Truan course in Bride at 2.45pm.

The man, a local, was declared dead at the scene.

Officers say initial enquiries do not indicate that there are suspicious circumstances, and no-one else was involved in the crash.

The death has been reported to the coroner of inquests.
