ADULT students who study at the Isle of Man College have been awarded GCSE equivalent qualifications in the Manx language.
The General Certificate in Manx has been achieved by four students who sat the examination in June. The certificates were presented this week at the college.
The one-year course Teisht Chadjin Ghaelagh (TGC): General Certificate in Manx was offered by the Isle of Man College Adult Community Education Programme Area.
The course is currently running again during the 2011-2012 college year and programme manager Paul Wilkinson hopes that he may be able “to report similar student success in twelve months’ time!”
The four successful students were Harry Peake, Eleanor Cretney, Sam Hudson and Jane Martin. Our photograph shows them with Professor Ronald Barr (College Principal), Helen Clarke and
Dr Brian Stowell (course tutor).
