THE Kirk Michael school land exchange and health services in the Isle of Man are the hot topics for discussion in next week's House of Keys sitting.
There are 14 questions for oral answer on Tuesday with four of these concerning the land exchange and three concerning health provision.
Michael MHK Alf Cannan will ask the Minister for Education and Children Peter Karran for more detail over the land exchange between the department, Heritage Homes and Pinecrest Investments.
Mr Cannan wants to know why the department entered into the agreement and whether the agreement will be made into a public document.
He will also ask if a public consultation process was undertaken prior to the deal being signed in August and what the outcome of this process was.
The Education Minister will be asked if the department was aware that parts of the land exchange were designated as a conservation area by Tynwald in 2006 and if this was known why the exchange was agreed without consulting Tynwald.
Mr Cannan will also ask Mr Karran if there will be a "substantial increase" in health and safety risks to children in the area from "increased traffic, a new traffic system, building site traffic, a new road and other changes" and what provisions have been made in the event planning is approved.
Department of Health waiting lists and the reoccurring discussion of the Island's breast care service will also be up for discussion.
Douglas East MHK Brenda Cannell will ask Health Minister David Anderson if a new breast care surgeon has been appointed and if so who it is and when that person will take post.
This is despite Mr Anderson announcing in September that a female breast surgeon had been appointed who would start in the New Year. For more information on this click here.
Ramsey MHK Mr Singer will quiz Mr Anderson on the current waiting list times for ophthalmology and orthopaedic patients. He also wants details of how many consultants are employed in these specialities and how many NHS and private patient procedures they have carried out in the last 52 weeks.
Mr Singer will also ask the Health Minister if he will publish each month the time delay for NHS appointments and operations in all specialities at Noble's Hospital.
Other topics on the agenda include whether the Department of Home Affairs will take any action in introducing Sarah's Law in the Isle of Man and whether the Department of Infrastructure will prioritise basic road maintenance over capital schemes.
All of the questions for written answer on Tuesday have been asked by South Douglas MHK Kate Beecroft. She wants to know about the cost of off-Island medical treatment, work permits and analysis on the cost of the Richmond Hill and Ballikillowey roundabout projects.
The House of Keys sitting will take place at 10am on Tuesday, October 25.
