'Island should follow UK on minimum wage'

The Isle of Man needs to look at its minimum wage structure, following the latest increase.

That's according to Stuart McCudden, the managing director of G4S Secure Solutions, who suggests it would be better to follow the United Kingdom's lead and make the figure apply to workers aged 21 and over.

From the start of next month a new minimum wage of ?6.20 an hour will apply to those aged 18 and over, after Tynwald approved a 10p an hour increase, at this week's sitting.

Mr McCudden discussed the subject on Talking Heads today (Thursday):
