MORE than 100 people attended an event last week to celebrate the start of a new era for the Boston Group.

The local financial services group launched its new "visual identity" at a party at the Mailbox in Douglas last Thursday (October 13).

The event was attended by Boston staff members, people from the Island's business community as well as representatives from the Isle of Man Government.

Greg Ellison, the chief executive of Boston Group, said: "I see great opportunities for Boston Group.

"Working alongside the government's economic development initiatives to build strong relationships in the Middle East and Asia will give us a platform to develop our international business and will be the cornerstone of our long-term growth."

The Island's Chief Minister Allan Bell also attended the event which marked his first public event since his appointment to the role.

Speaking at the event he said: "It's pleasing to see Greg and the Boston team getting behind the government's international development initiatives.

"This public private sector partnership is vital and something that I will continue to support in my new role as Chief Minister."
