Isle of Man Come Dine With Me contestants revealed

by isleofman.com 19th October 2011

THE four contestants from the Isle of Man who were selected to take part in the popular cookery series Come Dine With Me have been revealed.

Channel 4 has released the names of the contestants ahead of the episode airing next month.

Going head to head for the £1,000 prize are "opinionated" property developer John Tinsley, "posh pensioner" Madeline Simpson, "down to earth" travel agent Mandy Quayle and Irish gardener Sean O'Connell.

The episode synopsis on the Come Dine With Me website reads: "On the Isle of Man four hosts go head to head in a week featuring some flirting, some bitching, some insults, a Manx crab starter and one host dressing up as a cow to serve pudding."

It appears that all did not go swimmingly during the cookery competition which was filmed at the end of August.

John apparently sparks tension with the rest of the group on the first night which was hosted by Mandy.

According to a spokesperson for Channel 4 Mandy's Spanish themed evening didn't go down well with the property developer who insulted her starter before accusing fellow guest Madeline of "talking too much".

On the second night, hosted by Madeline, tensions between Mandy and John rise again. The spokesperson added: "It's when John reveals his 'one-off' parrot dress shirt that sparks and insults really start to fly."

Host number three is gardener Sean who is in no mood to let John spoil his night. However Sean, who cooks Manx Crab and Beef which John "openly criticises", is said to bite back when John accuses Madeline of not dressing her age.

The fourth and final night sees John playing host but after a week of upsetting his guests they're not about to give him an easy night.

The spokesperson explained: "A tour of his fancy apartment fails to impress and his hot and spicy crab starter doesn't fare much better. Will he do enough to win them round?"

Come Dine With Me Isle of Man will be screened on Channel 4 on Friday, November 4, at 8pm.
