Off road fire vehicles aid injured cyclist

by isleofman.com 17th October 2011

OFF road fire vehicles were called to assist an off-road motor cyclist who had been injured in an incident in Ballaugh yesterday (Sunday).

The cyclist suffered chest and shoulder injuries after coming off his bike at Ballacobb.

Due to his location ambulance crews were unable to reach him so two specialist off road vehicles – one from Kirk Michael Fire Station and one from Douglas Fire Station – were dispatched at 1.46pm.

The off road vehicles were able to transport the paramedics to the casualty and were on scene for around one hour.
