Police hunt thief who stole from church

by isleofman.com 17th October 2011

A CHURCH in Dalby is considering closing during the day after a thief stole money from its honesty boxes.

Sometime after 12pm on Sunday someone entered St James Church and stole money and several items of Fairtrade confectionary.

A spokesperson for Peel Police said: "The small community within Dalby are saddened that someone could steal from their church.

"The church is now considering closing the facility due to this incident which is unfair on the community who use it."

Anyone with information on this matter is asked to contact PC Darren Wylde at Peel Police Station or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
