Marown overcome Michael challenge

by isleofman.com 16th October 2011

It’s 10 out of 10 for Marown in JCK Division Two.

However, the leaders were given their toughest test of the season before winning 3-2 against Michael on Saturday.

A Juan Killip double and a Ryan Holdaway goal kept them on top.

Union Mills remain hot on their heels after winning 5-1 at bottom club Ronaldsway - AJ Suckling, Paul Blair, Steven Quine, Chris Kelly and Carl Dobbin were all on target for the Millers.

A goal in each half from Kraig Marsh fired Onchan to third and a 2-0 home win over Foxdale.

Douglas Royal, who started the day in third, had to settle for a point in a six goal thriller with Malew at Ballafletcher.

It could have been worse for Royal – two of their goals were own goals.

It also finished 3-3 between Colby and the Police – Adam Fretwell, Chris McKenna and Ricky Kniveton scoring for the southerners.

Pulrose won 3-0 at Douglas and District with Liam Bowley (two) and Craig Cowin grabbing the goals.
