Vikings open up title race

Vikings A are right back in the title race.

That’s after they won a seven goal thriller to inflict a first defeat of the season against reigning champions Bacchas A on Saturday.

Andy Harding, Katie Errock and Conor Byrne (two) grabbed the goals in a 4-3 success.

Andy Vernon-Browne, Johnny Callow and Kate Dyson were on target for the champions.

Two sides capable of causing upsets shared the spoils.

Celts and Bacchas B drew 1-1 – Christian Steriopolous and Dave Kneale the respective scorers.

A hat-trick from Dave Hall, a double from Steve Lowe and one from James Cleverley and Oli Lockley fired Valkyrs B to a 7-2 win over Saracens Sabres.

Steve Cottier (two) scored both for Sabres.
