BEE Gee star Robin Gibb is being treated for inflammation of the colon.

The Manx born music star was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford on Thursday to undergo tests for abdominal pain.

A statement on his official website reads: "Robin would like to thank all his friends and fans for their good wishes and sends them his love."

Robin’s brother Maurice died in 2003 after suffering complications following a twisted intestine.
