Gas repair work ahead of schedule

A ROAD in Douglas which was closed after a gas escape will open ahead of schedule.


On Thursday Manx Gas announced that Clifton Terrace and Ballaquale Road would be closed until Tuesday.


However the emergency gas repair work has been completed already and the road will re-open today (Saturday).

 

Robert Gardner, engineering manager at Manx Gas, said: "We would like to thank the public for their patience over the past couple of days.

 

"The repairs have been completed quicker than anticipated and this has really helped keep the inconvenience to a minimum."
