A LOW budget British movie will be screened in Peel as part of the Films in Peel initiative.
Attack the Block was released in 2011 from the producers of Shaun of the Dead.
It tells the story of a gang of teenagers on a south London estate who try and defend their neighbourhood from invading aliens.
The film stars British actors including Nick Frost (Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead) and Jodie Whittaker (One Day and Marchlands) and a number of up and coming young actors.
The film, an action/comedy/sci-fi number, is described as "not for the faint-hearted" and has a runtime of 88 minutes.
Attack the Block, certificate 15, will be screened on Wednesday, October 26, at the Peel Centenary Centre. It will start at 7.45pm with doors opening at 7.15pm.
Tickets cost £4 or £3 for concessions and are available from Celtic Gold in Peel. Reservations with a seat guarantee and payable on the door can be made at Shakti Man in Ramsey, Mostly Manx in Douglas and Thompson Travel in Port Erin. Any unsold tickets will be available on the door.
