Finance officer offers 'fresh perspective'

by isleofman.com 13th October 2011

A chief financial officer for a local trust company has become the third candidate to come forward for the Onchan Commissioners’ by-election.

Qualified chartered accountant John Quaye, 30, who lives in Auburn Road with his wife, says he’s keen to bring a fresh perspective to the board (listen to audio file).

Following the passing of Ray Kniveton this week – and the resignation of Brian Stowell - there are now two vacancies on the board of commissioners.

That has led to the local authority extending nominations until October 31.

The by-election will now take place on November 24, instead of November 10.
