Police appeal after Douglas beach dog attack

POLICE are appealing for information after a dog was attacked on Douglas beach.

 

The small dog of an unknown breed was attacked by a grey lurcher with brown markings at around 4.30pm on Monday.

 

It happened near to the Villa Marina but police have confirmed the dog did not suffer any lasting injuries.

 

PC Tom Gascoyne of the Douglas Neighbourhood Policing Team has appealed for the owner of the lurcher, who is believed to be male, to come forward.

 

He would also like to speak to anyone else who witnessed the incident.
