Let's keep recycling, says candidate

by isleofman.com 12th October 2011

A would-be Onchan commissioner says he supports the district pulling out of a kerbside recycling scheme – but wants to do more to help people continue recycling.

Rob Callister, 42, of Abbeylands will stand for the seat left vacant by Brian Stowell’s resignation in next month’s by-election.

On November 24, he’ll bid for one of two vacant seats at the polls.

Mr Callister says Onchan was right to give up kerbside collection of recyclables, but it needn’t damage the board’s green credentials.
