Local charity launches Christmas card competition

by isleofman.com 1st November 2011

CHILDREN in the Isle of Man have a chance to see their artwork appear on a Christmas Card.

Crossroads Caring for Carers has launched a competition to find someone to design the charity's 2012 Christmas card.

In previous years the Christmas card has been designed by local artists but the charity would like a second card designed by a school child to refresh the tradition.

School children of any age are invited to enter the competition by submitting their design into a Christmas postbox which will be housed at the Christmas market in the Strand Centre in Douglas.

Entries can be posted between Thursday, November 3 and Sunday, December 18. Entrants must write their name, telephone number and school on the back of their design.

The winning entry will be announced on Thursday, December 22 on Manx Radio between 2pm and 6pm. The winner will see their design made into a Christmas card and will win a giant cuddly toy.
