Slammers lead the Women's Basketball League after two wins in their opening games of the new campaign.

The latest was a 58-28 victory over Sinners with Sarah Maddrell dominating the basket.

In the Men's League, Turkeys lost a nerve-jangling free throw shootout to go down 56-57 to Phillies in a thrilling contest.

Going into the final quarter, Phillies had a seemingly unassailable 12 point lead but good defence from Turkeys kept them scoreless while the chipped away at the lead at the other end.

In the other fixtures, Tigers beat Marvels 51-31, Champions Cavaliers thrashed Pokerstars 81-14 and Hoppers ran out 73-14 against Manx Demolition.
