A LUNCHTIME club launched for members of the local business community has been hailed a success by organisers.
Lloyds TSB has set up the Around the Table with… event for people to discuss issues affecting different sectors of the business community.
Simon Aldous, a valuation director at Savills, visited the Island for the first lunch club to discuss the central London residential market.
He also discussed topical issues such as valuations for offshore trusts and estimating rentals payable by beneficiaries of offshore trusts.
Simon said: "I think that this event worked very well and the Around the Table with... program is set to be a success.
"It was an excellent opportunity to stimulate discussion about important issues but in a very relaxed environment. The focus of this lunch was the huge growth in residential values across the board in Central London."
One representative from a local corporate service provider who attended the lunch club said: "Simon was an extremely eloquent and knowledgeable speaker and this lunch provided a fantastic opportunity for me to update my skill set in respect of the London residential market."
The Around the Table with… series will continue for the next 12 months and each session will focus on a different issue. Guest speakers will include government figures, business figures and Lloyds TSB's executive management from the International Bank in Geneva.
