Heritage galore at open days

by isleofman.com 8th October 2011

Guided tours at Kerroogarroo, events on the railway and tours of the Jurby Transport and Manx Aviation and Military Museums – just some of the attractions as heritage open days continue around the Island on Sunday (October 9).

All the events are free with tours of Kerroogarroo starting at 11am, 1pm and 3pm.

Port Erin Railway Museum is open all day between 9am and 5pm, while the Douglas Steam Railway workshop is holding tours on the hour from 10am until 2pm.

Co-ordinator Suzanne Williams says it’s an ideal opportunity for locals who don’t know what’s on their doorstep.
