Top three all triumph

by isleofman.com 8th October 2011

It remains a two-way battle at the top of JCK Division Two.

Marown made it nine wins out of nine with a 4-0 success at Pulrose – Juan Killip (two), Stuart Christian and an own goal separating the sides.

They’re still being chased by Union Mills after a 3-0 home win over Colby, courtesy of goals from Chris Kelly, Dave Hicks and Alexander Suckling.

Paul Whitley was the hat-trick hero as Douglas Royal consolidated third spot with a 3-2 victory at Foxdale.

Onchan have now replaced Foxdale in fourth after a fine 2-1 win at Michael, thanks to first half goals from Dominic Dawson and Mark Walmsley.

The mid-table battle went the way of the Police, 4-0 home winners over Douglas and District – Chris Moore, Ricky Mann, Dave McCabe and Kyle Wheeler the marksmen.

Two of the clubs near the foot of the table clashed in a fiery encounter at Malew, where Braddan emerged 4-0 winners.

Johnny Paddy (pen), Mark O’Neill, Daniel O’Hare and an own goal made the difference.

But the match was marred by three dismissals, two for the home side including a player sent-off for a head-butt.

The player has been suspended by the club.
