It was Douglas once again who defended Manx honours in South Lancashire/Cheshire Division Two.

They beat Dukinfield 31-14 at Port-e-Chee, while Ramsey and Vagabonds lost 17-7 and 17-15 respectively.

Douglas engineered another bonus point win to maintain their 100 per cent record.

Skipper Ryan Maddox bagged two tries and scoring machine Will Latta also bagged another two to continue his impressive season.

Bryn Snellgrove converted all four tries and added a penalty for good measure.

Vagabonds’ first home game of the season ended badly when they lost 17-15 to Ruskin Park.

Vagas had taken the lead with tries from wings Steve Gawne and James Clarke.

Ruskin Park hit back with a penalty from Adam Fogerty and, just before half-time, two quick tries from Mike Cottam and Paul Lockett.

Fogerty converted both to give Park a 17-10 half-time lead.

Vagas fought back in the second half but Leigh Kennaugh’s try wasn’t quite enough.

A weakened Ramsey side went away to Oldershaw expecting a beating but came back with heads held high after losing just 17-7.

Oldershaw led 10-0 at the break but a John Watling try, converted by Fintan Cummins, brought Ramsey right back into it and only a late score from Oldershaw denied them a losing bonus point.
