Pets at Home remains tight-lipped over Island plans

by isleofman.com 6th October 2011

PET superstore Pets at Home is remaining tight-lipped over its plans to set up in the Isle of Man – despite advertising for staff.

The company originally revealed plans to open a store in the Island in March last year.

At the time a spokesperson said: "We have been keen to bring the Pets at Home experience to the Isle of Man for some time.

"We hope to be able to bring our unique product range and customer service to the Island as soon as possible."

In October last year the company advertised for a general manager for the Isle of Man store. Last week the company were advertising for 15 full and part time staff members. This week it is advertising for a deputy manager and an assistant manager.

Despite this Pets at Home are still refusing to give out any more information. A spokesperson for the company refused to comment and told isleofman.com: "I've not got anything to report back at this point".

It is believed that the superstore would be located in the Spring Valley Industrial Estate.
