THE Isle of Man Post Office has linked up with the Friends of Manx National Heritage to create a new way for members to pay their annual subscription fees.
The fees can now be paid through any of the Island’s 25 post offices, including the extended membership categories of 10 years, life membership or legacy.
Those wishing to join or renew their membership with the Friends of Manx National Heritage can now simply fill in a form at any post office and hand it over to the counter staff.
Development & Admin Officer for the Friends of Manx National Heritage, Nicola Pemberton, said, “We are delighted that our Friends can now pay in their local Post Office as it is so much more convenient for them. We really value their contribution in helping us keep our Island heritage alive.”
Retail Network Manager for Isle of Man Post Office, Marty Quine, added, “We are proud to be working together with the Friends of Manx National Heritage and we hope the community will support the Island’s heritage by becoming a member of the Friends through their local Post Office.”
Friends have free access to all the Story of Mann attractions throughout the Island. By reciprocal arrangement, Manx residents have free or reduced admission to properties operated by the National Trust for England, Wales and Northern Ireland, the National Trust for Scotland, English Heritage and Historic Scotland, as well as equivalent organisations in Australia, New Zealand, the Cayman Islands and Bermuda.
A discount is available at Story of Mann Heritage shops and Friends receive a special programme of events listing which includes access to exhibitions, lectures, film nights and social gatherings.
The annual membership of Friends of Manx National Heritage is currently £26 per adult, plus £16 for an additional adult living at the same address. Membership for children aged 5 to 15 years is £6. 10 year adult membership is priced at £210 with an additional adult living at the same address £120. Life membership is available for £600.
