First football match at new-look Bowl

The newly refurbished Bowl Stadium in Douglas is hosting the Isle of Man's first ever senior competitive match on an artificial pitch this evening (Saturday).

Premier League champions St George's meet FA Cup winners Rushen in the Eric Fletcher Charity Shield Final which has been held over from its traditional spot at the start of the season, in order to be the opening game at the new-look venue.

Kick-off is at 6pm.

The pick of this afternoon's matches in the Premier League is a meeting between the top two sides.

Old Boys, who lost for the first time this season away to Corinthians a week ago, host new leaders Laxey at Blackberry Lane.
