TT and motorsport development officer Paul Phillips has helped to raise £2,626.70 for the Island's children's hospice, Rebecca House.

He raised the money by taking part in two events.

The first was the 24 hour mountain bike race The Longest Day in the South Barrule plantation.

Paul and his team mates of Andy Bass, Ian Rowley and Peter Jones took part and they raised £2,376.70.

The second event saw Paul run along Port Erin beach in the TT mascot outfit.

This was for the Port Erin Regatta where he raced against other mascots. He won and handed over his £250 winnings to Rebecca House.

PR and marketing manager for hospice Mary Doyle thanked Paul for his endeavours and his action man approach to fundraising.
