by isleofman.com 29th September 2011

A FILM about the Isle of Man TT Races has picked up an accolade at the Screen Marketing and Distribution Awards.

TT3d: Closer to the Edge was awarded the Best Campaign of the Year for a Film in 3D award at a ceremony held in London last night (Wednesday).

The film, which was financed and produced by CinemaNX had been up for accolades in five categories including British Independent Film Campaign of the Year and Best Documentary Release of the Year.

Steve Christian, the chairman of CinemaNX, said: "Winning the recognition for our campaign is far more important to us than the award itself.

"Hopefully our DVD campaign for TT3D will be as well received and will bring further benefits to the Island."

Mike Goodrigde, Screen International editor, congratulated the finalists of all awards and said: "It's not easy out there, as we all know, but each of these companies is building maximum value for their films in the current marketplace - from working the theatrical release as aggressively and inventively as possible to exploring new ancillary rights."

TT3D: Closer to the Edge will be released on DVD in the UK on November 28, 2011.
