A LUNCHTIME choir is looking for new members ahead of a Christmas concert in December.
The Friday Lunchtime Choir was started two years ago and currently has more than 100 members.
It was formed by Maggie Richardson the head of music service for the Department of Education and Children.
She explained: "It was formed to provide an opportunity for singers of all levels of experience and every session includes elements of voice training related to the songs we’re learning.
"I try to choose music to appeal to everyone including sacred music and folk and pop arrangements.
"We often sing in other languages and although singers are given music to follow - it doesn't matter if they can't read music as each rehearsal is structured to support non-readers."
The third season the choir will begin on Friday, October 7. Singers of all abilities are welcome to join the choir regardless of their experience.
Rehearsals take place at the Salvation Army Citadel in Lord Street, Douglas, and sessions last for 30 minutes.
Membership is free but singers are requested to donate 30p per session towards the use of the venue.
