Hockey Takes Action on Swearing

by isleofman.com 29th September 2011

The Manx Hockey Association has taken action following an incident of swearing from a player in last Saturday's Mixed Premier League fixture between Vikings "A" and Valkyrs "A".

The match was featured during Manx Radio's Saturday Live programme.

A senior player left the pitch frustrated with his own team's performance and swore repeatedly in front of Junior players and spectators.

The MHA Club Rep Board has met and asked Valkyrs to deal with the culprit and report back with news of what punishment has been handed out.

The Board states it "will not accept this creeping into our sport".
