Sue Blythe becomes a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society

by isleofman.com 29th September 2011

SUE Blythe, director at Blythe Financial Limited, has become a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society.

She is the first - and only - person in the Island to achieve this status.

Sue has undertaken a continuous study programme which has seen her pass 18 exams in the past three years, achieve the Chartered Financial Planner status and demonstrate an on-going commitment to the Chartered Insurance Institute's code of ethics and continuing professional development requirements.

She said: "I am delighted to have attained this qualification which is the pinnacle qualification for financial planners and financial advisers.

"I believe that it demonstrates, in a very visible way, the commitment that we, at Blythe Financial have to ensuring that it is it the most technically excellent financial planning company in the Isle of Man.

"It also demonstrates our professionalism in that we are not satisfied with simply attaining the minimum standards required by regulation, where the Financial Supervision Commission has recently announced they expect all financial advisers to have attained the Diploma in Financial Planning (or equivalent) by January 1 2014.

"Blythe Financial and its directors have been at or above this standard for a significant amount of time and will continue to strive for excellence.”

Sue Blythe is a Chartered Financial Planner as is her husband, Alan Blythe who, uniquely in the Isle of Man, is also a Chartered Associate of the Institute of Financial Services (formerly the Chartered Institute of Bankers).

Between them they make up two of only three Chartered Financial Planners in the Isle of Man making Blythe Financial Limited the Island's largest chartered financial planning company.
