Bronze for Glover at Bisley

by isleofman.com 28th September 2011

Manx shooter Rachel Glover has won a bronze medal at the Commonwealth Shooting Federation (European Division) match at Bisley in Surrey.

Glover, who won four gold medals at this summer's NatWest Island Games in the Isle of Wight, shot 585 out of 600 in the 50 metre Prone Rifle event finishing behind Emma Sigourney of England in gold on 591 and silver medallist Jennifer Corish of Wales on 587.

Conditions were tricky and only two scores of the maximum 100 were achieved during the competition, one of them fired by Rachel Glover.

News of the other Isle of Man shooters - Gemma Kermode scored 575 for 10th place and Lara Ward finished in 13th with a score of 572.
