Musical tribute to Alan Pickard

by isleofman.com 28th September 2011

Some of the Island's most successful performers will join forces this evening (Wednesday) to remember a Manxman who inspired generations through music.

The Isle of Man Choral Society, Manx Voices and the Isle of Man Symphony Orchestra will come together to pay tribute to the life and work of Alan Pickard.

Among the returning soloists is professional Christine Teare, who says the number of people who wanted to take part speaks volumes for the esteem in which Mr Pickard was held (listen to audio file below):

This evening's concert is in the Royal Hall at the Villa Marina.
