'Fun festival' for choirs getting under way

Choirs from far and wide have been arriving on the Island for this weekend's Isle of Man Festival of Choirs.

The event is open to the public and will showcase a range of musical genres.

Many ensembles from the United Kingdom will be taking part in the competition, which will also feature a number of local choirs.

Member of the organising committee Gary Corkhill says the weekend is all about having fun (listen to audio file below):
