by isleofman.com 22nd September 2011

The chairman of Michael Commissioners has resigned after being interviewed by Manx Radio about a housing development in the village.

Michael Neary fired a broadside at his fellow commissioners in his resignation email following comments he made on Mandate last week.

Mr Neary was interviewed about Heritage Homes’ plan for 100 houses on land behind Kirk Michael School.

But after some board members said they’d received complaints about his comments, Mr Neary resigned.
