Isle of Man Monopoly to go on sale next month

by isleofman.com 21st September 2011

THE Isle of Man themed Monopoly board game will go on sale in just over a month's time.

Monopoly: Isle of Man Edition will be officially launched on Wednesday, October 26, and will feature around 30 Manx landmarks.

In May this year Winning Moves, the manufactures of this version of the game, announced that it would launch an Island themed edition.

Members of the public were invited to suggest landmarks and points of interest to help fill the board and suggestions came in from all over the world.

Mark Hauser, licensing director of Winning Moves UK, said: "We would like to formally thank the great Isle of Man public for all its wonderful input.

"Without these suggestions and nominations this board could not have been produced. We have had inquiries and suggestions from many parts of the world."

The full line up of the board will not be revealed until the launch day but Winning Moves say it may release some teaser information beforehand.

Monopoly: Isle of Man Edition will be sold at Tesco, The Works, Toys R Us, Waterstones, WH Smith, Shop Direct, Amazon.co.uk and Play.com.
