Water supply restored following leak

by isleofman.com 20th September 2011

THE water supply for residents in the Anagh Coar, Farmhill, Glen Vine and Crosby areas has been restored following a leak yesterday.

The Isle of Man Water and Sewerage Authority has completed repair work on a 400mm diameter supply main which serves the Braaid Service Reservoir.

All customers should now be back on the supply but if you are suffering from discoloured water the authority’s advice is to run the cold kitchen tap until the water runs clear.

Yesterday Ballacottier Primary School was closed early due to the problems with the water supply but it is open today as normal.

The Isle of Man Water and Sewerage Authority has apologised for any inconvenience caused during the disruption to the water service.

Anyone who would like further information is asked to contact the customers services department on 01624 695949.
