CP on importance of requisition meetings

by isleofman.com 20th September 2011

There are requisition meetings ahead of next week's general election in Middle, North Douglas and Rushen this evening (Tuesday).

They are at Marown Primary School, Willaston Methodist Hall and Rushen Primary School respectively.

As always, the meetings will give voters the chance to directly question candidates on their policies, and issues of local, national and international importance.

Captain of the Parish of German John Kennaugh says voters have regarded requisition meetings as a significant part of the electoral process for a long time (listen to audio file below):

The meeting in Middle is 7pm for a 7.30pm start, the one in North Douglas gets under way at 7pm, and the Rushen requisition meeting is at 7.30pm.
