Wind energy firm keeps Packet in the loop

A company planning to further exploit the wind potential of the Irish Sea is studying the effects an expansion of its wind farm could have on Steam Packet sailings.

The Packet has expressed concern about the cumulative effect of the facilities, once the Walney extension project, between the Isle of Man and Fleetwood, is up and running.

Peter Sills of Dong Energy, whose firm yesterday (Thursday) staged an exhibition on its plans at the Villa Marina, says he and his colleagues are making sure the Packet is involved:
