Road closure while gas mains work is carried out

by isleofman.com 15th September 2011

A ROAD closure will come into force on Monday while the laying of gas mains to the new housing development in Upper Pulrose Road in Douglas is carried out.

Work will begin on Monday (September 19) and will be completed on Friday.

Manx Gas engineering manager Robert Gardner said: "In order for this important work to be carried out safely, and due to the one-way road system at Heather Crescent and Hazel Crescent, it will be necessary to close Heather Crescent between numbers 57 and 63 over that period.

"During this period Hazel Crescent will operate as a two-way traffic system. It is hoped this will minimise any inconvenience to local householders.

"This is essential work which has to be carried out and we apologise for any inconvenience that will be caused over those few days."

For further information or advice call Manx Gas on 644425.
