Major fire at Lord Street flats in Douglas

FOUR people have been treated for smoke inhalation and shock following a major fire in Douglas.

 

Fire crews were called to the incident at the Lord Street flats at around 12am this morning.

 

Six crews using breathing apparatus, a hose reel and thermal imaging cameras put out the blaze which police described as a "major fire" on its social networking sites.

 

Barrack Street is currently closed from Lord Street to John Street but is expected to reopen at 10am.
