Stage three expected to go ahead

by isleofman.com 13th September 2011

Cycling's Tour of Britain resumes in Stoke today (Tuesday), weather permitting.

Yesterday's second stage from Kendal to Blackpool was cancelled because of
high winds.

With gusts of up to 75 miles an hour along the proposed route, riders backed the organisers' decision, saying safety must always come first.

Manxman Mark Cavendish won Sunday's opening stage.
