HIGH winds are causing a number of problems around the Island today (Monday).
The Mountain Road has been closed from the Creg Ny Ba to the Ramsey Hairpin.
This is due to marshal huts and roadside objects coming away from their moorings.
It will be closed until 3pm in order for the road to be made safe.
Crossag Road is also closed from its junction with Abbots Way and Mill Road due to a fallen tree and fallen power lines which are lying across the road.
Motorists have been asked to avoid the area but it is hoped that the road will be re-opened around 2pm.
