CYG 2011: Manx team beaten in debut rugby 7's match

THE Manx team had a disappointing start to its rugby 7s campaign at the Commonwealth Youth Games this afternoon (Saturday).

 

It was beaten by Scotland 43 - 5.

 

The home nation will be hoping for better results in its matches against Australia and Canada later today.

 

Australia beat Canada 31 - 0 while England made an impressive start with a 53 - 0 victory over Trinidad and Tobago.

 

The group matches continue throughout the day at the Bowl in Douglas.

 

The quarter finals, semi-finals and finals take place tomorrow.
